Broken Dreams

I acquired the A7R as previously mentioned, and at first was beguiled by it, but not for me in the end, too noisy a shutter, small thing but in quiet spaces like galleries, etc, it was just loud. Slowish in focus also , and as I said outstanding quality, but for the style of photography I want to do now, just not right. So I exchanged for the A7, which I tried out yesterday at an event and on the street, and was so disappointed, even with the superb 35mm lens, it just didn't give the clarity and focus I wanted, noisy at 500iso, and clattery shutter.

As a Liverpool supporter pleased to see this

Choosing for her one true love ?

Want to continue with Sony as my lenses are for the E-Mount now, so will keep the A7, as I would like to try it in better light and for projects where Full Frame is best. I suspect my technique will have to change, being to used to the Canon big boys, and will see how it works in better lighting, yesterday was gloomy.

Sony, the master of the camera model game have the A6000, which is an advance on the Nex range, with fast autofocus (needed),lightweight (required), and the range of lenses is greater than for the A7, and I can use my FE lenses on it too.So trialling that, and hopefully be the camera I want. Testing next week, excited.

On another note, I travelled yesterday with my new kit, much less weight and discomfort, using a backpack solution that is right for me, after trying Slingshots and Lowepro Fastpack, more on that later, need to do a few shots to explain it.
