One of my favourite Festivals has to be a local one, held at Lode, and aptly called the Lodestar Festival.
Happily snapped away for 3 days,in the company of fellow musico Trevor Lee, and accumulated a lot of images. One thing is vey apparent with outdoor stages is that one does not have the atmosphere that full stage lighting can give, although it was pretty good there.
To make the shots ook how I want I use a few Plugin programs, Nik Silver Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro, and Topaz Labs set of presets, all of which are really good.
Also the type of band alters the way they are edited, energetic Rock is seems to work in monochrome best, but softer sounds need a different look. Just a few examples here, I am preparing band galleries through Lightroom 5, which I am now trying to utilise more.
Also have a few atmosphere shots, to get a feel of how the Festival was. Weather was brilliant, naturally, which made for a perfect Festival.
